Ive never fished this river before and dont know much about it. I know that the green drake hatch is sometime in June. Is that happening yet? And I know its a spring creek so it probably doesnt go through much of a run off and if it does its earlier so i was wonderin if its in run off right now? the levels on the alberta govmnt site are wierd cuz it shows it much higher for the past few months than average. Any info would be awesome

mvdaog, The levels posted on the alberta goverment site...
...are for the Raven river, not the North Raven. They are 2 entirely different streams. The Raven usually blows out with any kind of precipiation and is in heavy spring run-off right now. Levels on the North Raven were high last weekend after the freak snowstorm, but it has returned to normal. I haven't seen any green drakes yet but I haven't fished it in a few days. Hope this helps.

No green drakes as of yet but pretty soon. I've never caught the hatch, but from what I've read they usually like to emerge on dull, overcast or rainy days and in the afternoon, so watch the weather reports. There's still some march browns and a few BWOs around.
